Getting to know

David Dillion

With over thirty years of IT experience, David has spent twenty of those years in the Managed Service Provider (MSP) industry. He has had the opportunity to build two MSPs from the ground up, one of which reached a global audience. David’s career also includes time in academia, where he has served as an Associate Professor, Program Chair of Information Technology, Academic Dean, and Dean of Education at various institutions. His dedication to education is reflected in his academic achievements, including a Master’s in Education, a Master’s in Educational Technology, and a Bachelor’s in Information Technology. He is currently working towards a Master’s in World War II History.

In addition to his professional and academic pursuits, David is a proud United States Marine, having served as a Non-commissioned Officer in the field of Combat Law Enforcement. His varied experiences have shaped his approach to product development and client experience. David has developed a range of skills, including a solid understanding of business functions, challenges, and solutions. He values leadership, striving to motivate and guide teams, delegate tasks, and mentor employees. David is committed to effective communication, ensuring that ideas, technical information, and solutions are clearly conveyed to all stakeholders. He is adept at making important decisions regarding teams, resources, tasks, and deadlines. David is also skilled in researching business needs, identifying suitable solutions and potential challenges, and thinking strategically to achieve business or project goals. Additionally, he prioritizes time management, setting up tasks, following timelines, and meeting deadlines. He has experience in sourcing, assessing, and employing candidates with the right skills for specific positions.

Outside of his professional life, David enjoys spending time with his family, including his three children. He loves outdoor activities such as fishing and has a passion for building electric guitars. David also sang in a Blues Rock band, combining his love for music with his creative talents.

David believes that “Education is the foundation of progress, and a great customer experience is the cornerstone of success.” He is deeply committed to serving others, whether through his professional work, his dedication to education, or his service as a Marine. David’s approach is always centered on making a positive impact and helping others achieve their best.
