Jeff Myers
Unicorn.
That was the title given to me after a year of being at TrinWare. At first, I thought it was funny and I took it as such. But when I looked closer at myself and tried to understand why I was made the TrinWare unicorn... it started to make sense. Maybe I am! The trophy unicorn figurine sits above my door at work every day.
At 9 years old, my neighbor gave me my first PC - a 386 with a turbo button. DOS 6, 5.25" floppy, the whole routine. I took it apart, put it back together, and it was at that moment I found my hobby. There was a PC store near me that I thought was the store of all stores. At 9 years old, I put in my first job application. Their response? "Come back when you're 16". So, every year for the next 7 years, I came back with an application and said "can I work here". Finally, I turned 16, and was hired on the spot. There, I would do every job imaginable, from sales to running the whole company.
Working under seasoned leadership and a group of PC enthusiasts, I learned valuable lessons not only in technology but in leading individuals and an organization forward towards their strategic goals. Warp forward to 2022, I joined Dan Cashman and the TrinWare team and realized I couldn't have found a better fit in my journey! Our customers, and the solutions I get to make (including some life-saving devices) drive my passion for technology every day. My next goal is to take the knowledge and experience I've gained and support my team in their growth and advancement too.
Did you know? Jeff attended a taping of The Price is Right in 2005 and got a lot of screen time being in the audience!
